   Samrat Reddy is the Founder of Drunken Monkey. It offers over 200 types of smoothies and smoothie bowls made from specially blended combinations of fruits. He is from Hyderabad, India.

    Samrat earned his Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from SRM Easwari, Chennai. Then, he completed his Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde.

ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY

     An engineer by education, Samrat started his career in Australia as a Test Environment Engineer at Infosys Technologies. Then, he moved to Scotland to pursue an MBA from the University of Strathclyde.

     Growing up, Samrat was not a fan of tea or coffee. He was more inclined towards fruit juices and smoothies. Inspired by Starbucks, he wondered why there were so many coffees places but not enough smoothie places. 

    He invested about Rs.4 crores to start the business. The smoothie brand thrives to get its consumers closer to nature and enjoy beverages in the most elementary form - using fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Founded in 2016, Drunken Monkey started with one smoothie bar in Hyderabad.
