STARTUP JOURNEY

Kishore was born from a middle-class family, and he also wanted to study hard and become successful and so he did, his ambition became a reality after he graduated from IIT Kharagpur and completed his Master's and Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and he got a job at Intel.
After working almost for six years at Intel, he realized that his job was not his actual passion and so he quit his job in the US and came back to Hyderabad. After coming back, he saw that were limited options for affordable and unadulterated milk, he wanted to bring a change not only for his son and family but also for the public of Hyderabad.
This inspired him to start his dairy farm and milk brand. His family back in India owned some land in Karnataka so, in 2012, he bought 20 cows from Coimbatore and set up a dairy farm there, Kishore started supplying milk directly to consumers in the city on a subscription basis, and luckily his business began to grow.

Kishore initially invested around 4.3 crore Rs, by taking leans, raising from his family, and his savings. With the first 20 cows, he started selling milk directly to the customers. He says, nothing was a cakewalk as it was an operationally intensive business environment and he had to quickly get acquainted with it and it was a critical time for him. After raising a bank loan, he established a permanent manufacturing facility in 2018.
Kishore saw an increasing demand for dairy products in Hyderabad and so they took his hands into other product categories such as whole cow's milk, whole buffalo's milk, skim milk, cow's butter, cow's ghee, buffalo's butter, buffalo's ghee, cow's curd. buffalo's curd, and natural panner.
All products have undergoes 26 tests based on FSSAI legal standards of milk and milk items.
The startup also got officially registered as Sid's Farm. It's named after Kishore's son Siddharth in 2016. As a D2C brand, it primarily sells milk through subscriptions on its app. Products are available on Amazon, Big Basket, Swiggy, and other apps. It is also partnered with 100 stores.
Sid's Farm has 120employees and delivers milk to over 10,000 consumers daily.
