        Eric Yuan is a Chinese-American billionaire businessman, and CEO, and founder of Zoom video communications. He was born in Shandong, china but now his citizenship is American. He lives in Santa Clara, California. His net worth is the US $10 billion.

EDUCATION

          He earned a bachelors' degree in applied mathematics with a minor in computer applications from Shandong university of science and Technologies. He completed his masters' degree in geology engineering from china university of Mining and Technology. He graduated from the Stanford University executive program in 2006.

CARRER

         Yuan worked in Japan four years after graduation. Inspired by bill gets who spoke in jaan in 1994, he moved to Silicon Valley in 1997 to join the tech boom. Yuan arriving in the US and joined WebEx, a video conferencing app. In 2011, Yuan pitched a new smartphone-friendly video conferencing system to Cisco management. When his idea was rejected, Yuan left this company and establish the Zoom video communications app.
     In 2019, zoom became a public company via an initial public offering, at which time Yuan became a billionaire.
      One interesting fact is zoom's original name was Silsbee.
