ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY
Megha is perhaps amongst a few who pursued her passion while continuing to work full-time at a real estate company. She was very confident in her skills and did not want to let them go unutilized. So that In 2017, Megha plunged into being an entrepreneur with the launch of her salad business.
Megha's desire to take on challenges became innate when, as a class student, she had to go through a surgery that left her in bed for close to 18 months. What was to be a simple procedure and allow her to get back on her feet in one month, took over a year and a half. It turned into something unfathomable. Even after recovering, the doctors had warned her about possible health complications as she got older.
She has always been a very ambitious person. She took up her first job when she was still in college, not to want money, but to be financially independent. A few health niggles ensured that Megha took her own lunch to the office every day. A staple that would always find a place in her lunch was her salad box. Her colleagues enjoyed this and often urged her to get multiple servings of Salad.

Megha saw an opportunity in a salad. While junk food was easily available, good healthy salads were either expensive or not readily available. This non-availability of fresh salads was a problem that she wanted to address. That same night, an excited Megha discussed this startup idea with her husband and even went on to make an e-flyer that she circulated on Whatsapp and Facebook.
Megha started this business with an initial investment of Rs.3500 and six orders on day one but with each new order that came in, her challenges kept increasing.
In between all the cutting, chopping, and preparation, She also had to juggle getting her son ready for school, getting all the salads packed and ready for dispatch, and leaving for work. It has been a roller coaster ride, but one that she has thoroughly enjoyed.
Megha and her team are in the service for more than 3 years. Their quality of work has gained them immense popularity and a long list of customers around the city. Today, Megha earns Rs.1.5 lakh every month by Keep Good Shape.
