STARTUP JOURNEY
After completing her graduation, Pallavi worked with Infosys as a software engineer for 2 years. Her first stint in the field of the brand building was in 2009 when she joined a Pharmaceutical company, based out of Bangalore to launch their India brand division.
Pallavi also realized that brand-building goes beyond marketing right into production, supply, operations, and more.
Six years back, She had a baby and she knew two types of diapers - the regular disposable diapers and the traditional cloth langots. Pallavi was tired and needed some rest and using the langots all day was not possible for her. She was tired of disposable diapers but it gave him a rush and she realized the baby had sensitive skin.
Upon checking with other mothers, Pallavi found that this is a very common problem faced by a lot of babies. Also, Pallavi and her husband were really upset with the number of diapers they were throwing in the dustbin every day.

So that, Pallavi started looking for alternatives. Cloth diapers were already becoming popular in the United States. She got a few from there but they were not very well fitted for Indian babies. Then, she decided to make cloth diapers that were suitable for Indian babies and have Indian prints which were quirky and cute!
Soon, She gave a few to her friends who had new babies and they loved it! and that is how her entrepreneurial journey begins.
Today, SuperBottoms is a leading and award-winning cloth diapering startup. A brand of reusable high-performance cloth diapers, they make them for babies from newborn till the child gets toilet trained. They are skin-friendly, eco-friendly, and economical alternatives and provide the goodness of cloth and functionality of disposable diapers for babies.
Currently, this venture contains 30 employees team.
In the future, Pallavi Utagi wanted to make cloth diapering a new category and mainstream in the Indian market.
