ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY

After completing her graduation, Geeta did a 2-year Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication. During her academic life, She also served some of the leading media houses such as BBC, NDTV, and Dainik Jagran and continued till 2011, a duration which is of more than 5 years.
Finally, Geeta stepped into the shoes of an entrepreneur and founded The Yellow Coin Communications Pvt. Ltd. in 2011. She started this startup with just Rs.50,000 and a single employee. That employee was paid a salary of Rs.13,000 but asked to bring her own laptop to the office, which was located at her home in Delhi.
Geeta clinched her first deal with mobile India, a web portal that was about digital gadgets, They needed content for the website and translation of English and Hindi stories. In the Initial critical days, She did not receive any help or support from her father. Her father was a humble government employee so that he wished his daughter too would get into government service like him.

Geeta asked her father for just Rs.10,000 when she had planned to start her startup, but he refused to provide her the money saying nobody has ever done this business in our family.
Her father wanted her to write competitive exams for government jobs. She explained to her father that, "We don't belong to a royal family and so I want to take my chance". But her father did not want to help at all, which she feels has made her stronger. She never thought, doubted the intentions of her father, whom she adores for giving his best to his four children.
But the determination to succeed, and some good breaks that got her a few big clients helped her business to grow into an Rs.7 crore turnover company, which employs around 50 people today with a 2,200 square feet office in Jasola.
Today, The Yellow Coin Communication is committed to bringing businesses close to the target audience through the unwavering efforts and the spirit of their highly experienced professionals.
