STARTUP STORY

Sahil's schooling education helped him to focus on his passion, the computers. In his school syllabus, he learned graphic designing. It made me curious about the IT field and so he started learning software too. After that, he started freelancing and designed basic designs for people in his social circle.

In Sahil's first year of college, he was parallelly doing freelance work. Due to his unconventional subjects in senior secondary, he had an advantage over his classmates in the first semester of graduation, as he has learned 70% of the syllabus during his 11-12th standard.

In his second semester, he joined NGO as an intern, that NGO is I am still Human. He worked on graphics designing and got introduced to social media marketing. After serving one year of service in this NGO, he handled their marketing, Graphic design, Photography, and Videography, and IT teams as a Vice President. He started to learn all the verticles in his free time and started creating a portfolio. And in his final year, the idea of Creative Monk was coined with his 2 friends on a Goa trip.

As an entrepreneur, he always wanted to start a business and build something of his own. Sahil's entrepreneurial journey started in his early teens. He used to travel a couple of kilometers to a nursery, but plants from there and deliver those plants to the residents of the society, where he lived.

He used to make about INR 10 per plant. He used to make INR 100 per trip. Though it was a modest amount per trip, at that time it was enough for his pocket money. That was his experience at the business. After that, he used to come up with new plans to make a profit.

In Sahil's school time, he used to make money by selling tattoos, cut out from tattoo books to his classmates. It shows that Sahil was a very hard-working person from childhood.

Initial days of Creative Monk startup, he was really inspired by Steve Jobs. The idea of making something simple yet effective and touching the lives of as many people as he can inspire him even today to do better than what he did yesterday.
