ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY
Bharat started his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 16. He started his first online business in 2016. During his school years, he played football for his state, debated for his school, collected more than 25 medals in athletic events, and was awarded Top 0.1% merit certificate from CBSC.
In 2018, Bharat started Swnabhan Commerce Private Limited that would focus on creating digitally native vertical brands in a largely untapped market in the FMCG sector with a vision to create an Rs.500 crore ARR company by 2025. The company closed its last round of funding in March 2021 led by Refex Capital, a VC firm, 9 unicorns Venture Capital Fund with participation from Keiretsu Forum, and a clutch of other prominent strategic investors.
Earlier, He started PosterGully in 2012, which was an online customer brand for millennials to shop clothing, wall decor, and affordable art. He bootstrapped the company with price efficient metrics and profitability, building a well-known brand within its target market reaching 15 million unique visitors in 2015.
He left the company in 2016 to the advertisers of the ABEC group - which is India's largest exhibition group. The promoters and he himself then started an online B2B e-commerce marketplace - iDecorama connecting interior designers and architects with brands where industry professionals could discover and shop for unique items.
