ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY

    As youth clearly become more tested in their selection of brands and looks, there are over a dozen street-inspired labels that have cropped up in India nowadays.
    Yash's childhood interest was skateboarding. He wanted to something in this field. So that, After completing his studies, Yash moved back to India, at that time he was only 24-year-old. He did not discover any options for skateboards, and the ones available were only for professionals. There was not enough headwear or sunglasses to match the hip-hop persona. 
     Yash promptly understood that not only was the street culture in India missing, but there was likewise no genuine presence of any fashion brands to represent the culture. This thought led him to establish this startup. Urban Monkey was started in the year 2015. It started with the aim of bringing together skateboarding, streetwear, and music.

     Hip hop fashion has drawn a lot of Indian Youth, specifically the millennials and Gen Z, under its wing. The hip-hop streetwear style, which prevalently consists of Hoodies, t-shirts, jackets, and sneakers with bold graphics and color is what young consumers are demanding from fashion retailers today. This fresh startup has collaborated with many celebrities like Rannvijay Singh, Raftar, Emiway Bantai, and many more.
    Yash follows these four principles: Build everything to be scalable, Oen your data and consumers, Goog Quality+Unique design+right prise= Happy consumers, Focus on maintaining a low capEx and sustainable growth.
