EDUCATION
Sayan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political science and government from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. After that, he joined the State University of New York College at Oswego for Bachelor in Entrepreneurship studies.

ENTREPRENEURIAL STORY
Sayan has two AC WTF restaurants, which are located in Salt Lake and South Kolkata. It provides non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes like egg chicken rice, crispy chilly baby corn, chilly chicken dry, and tandoori chicken at Rs.139 and sandwich at Rs.69.
He began this endeavor in August a year ago with his saving of Rs.8 lakhs that he had procured doing low maintenance occupations in the US.
The outlets are popular among students and middle-class consumers. They have done a revenue of more than Rs one crore in less than eight months. Sayan hails from a well-to-do family, but he started this startup with his own savings. His father owns a 75-employee strong company that is into the cargo business. The company operates clearance and shipping of the cargo at the Kolkata airport, port, and Haldia dock complex.

Sayan's interest in business started when he was a student. The urge to succeed actually came after he flunked in the mathematics exam in class nine. At that time, he scored just three marks out of a hundred and it was a great disappointment for his parents. It was a big blow especially for his father who wanted him to be a businessman, He still remembers that he cried throughout that night and thought all the hopes he had pinned on his had gone in vain.
That episode left a permanent blemish at the forefront of his thoughts. It would surface as a desire to become an entrepreneur at a young age.
I wanted to familiar name for the venture, something that people can rapidly remember, so I chose WTF. It might mean something else to lots of people, but what we mean is 'Where's the Food!'.
