Singapore Airlines said in a statement that talks are ongoing between SIA and the Tata Group. SIA and Tata are looking to deepen the existing partnership. Vistara and Air India may also be merged for this.

The Tata group wants to revive the aviation company

Air India's new owner Tata Group is preparing to revive the company. The full-service carrier is currently looking to place orders for more than 300 narrow-body jets. The transaction will be the largest order ever in commercial aviation history. Boeing and Airbus are already trying to take a large share of these orders.

8,170 crore in the funding round

Air India is in talks to raise at least $100 crore (about Rs 8,170 crore) in the funding round. The airline can be valued at $500 crore (roughly Rs 40,850 crore) in this funding round. The airline plans to acquire 25 Airbus SE and five Boeing aircraft from lease companies in December.
