ENTREPRENEUR STORY
Trell was launched in August 2017 by IIT Bombay students Arun Lodhi, Prashant Sachan, Pulkit Agarwal, and NITIE student Bimal Kartheek. In this app, anyone can upload videos in Indian languages.
He was in the last year of IIT Bombay and he wanted to see Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations through the eyes of a Mumbaikar. he wanted to visit some offbeat pandals and he started his search over the internet. Unfortunately, he could not find anything apart from 5-6 famous ones which everyone knows. So, he thought on that and he wanted to establish a startup.

After making a Trell, Initially, In the first month, their start-up raised $11.4 million in a series of rounds led by the KTB network. They got high success within a month.
Currently, He gets 75 million downloads from the play store and 25 million monthly active users on Trell. After banning the Chinese app, they gets the opportunity to expand their business. They earn to have witnessed 500 percent growth with over 15 million creators. They get 5 billion monthly views and its pandemic situation they are getting rapid growth.
In future, the internet societies will behave more responsibly unlike the initial ones where 'Freedom of expression' was misused for 'Hate speech'. At Trell, oue mission is to enable a safe and inclusive environment for all. Advance curation mechanisms are a step in that direction.
